I literally grew up on the back of a horse since I was a wee little thing. It didn’t take long…at all…to figure out I better read this horse correctly or trouble was coming. People are no different.
Everything is diagnostics
We are so quick to want to control and then we are so quick to have trouble in our lives because we didn’t take an honest look at wha the truth was in front of us.
When I hear people talking about something someone did that was usually not so cool I catch myself saying, “Everything is diagnostics.” I say it too when they say something really great about someone.
When we take our hands of the preverbal hot stove and watch to see what we really have in a person or relationship we are so wise. Instead of trying to make this person into what we think they should be we use the “People are like used cars,” saying and then we see what is really there.
We think this dude is a Ferrari when what they really are is a beat-up old station wagon. Me being a huge car fanatic that I am…I’m thinking…man I’d be so pissed off if I thought I was driving a Ferrari home only to break down a mile from the car lot, step out and see wood paneling on the sides as steam is rolling out underneath the hood.
