We never know who people really are until they are faced with an easy (wrong) decision and a hard (right) decision. Watch closely! Reserve judgment until you witness what they choose.
When the rubber meets the road…
What this pretty much means is when a difficult decision needs to be made that is not comfortable you will see how people really are. The right decision usually is the right one.
Here’s an example of what I mean. Let’s say a young woman/girl gets pregnant. When she tells her boyfriend and he ditches her the rubber just met the road. On the flip side when her boyfriend steps up and does the right thing by her and the baby the rubber just met the road.
When we hit a fork in the road where we can do the right thing or the easy thing no matter which one we pick the rubber meets the road.
You never really know who people are until the rubber has to meet the road in their life. Watch how they handle difficult and costly decisions. What I mean by costly is a lot of time we have to make a right decision that costs us personally, professionally and maybe financially but because we are people of integrity we do what is right just because it’s right. We trust God will do great things with our decision and move on whether He does or doesn’t.
This also leads me into another topic…we also don’t see who people are until they have power. What do they do with that power? Stay tuned 🙂
Much love! -Teresa
